It is not surprising that the "Sázava level gauge" on the town's website gives important figures about the level of the romantic river. But that the level is also measured up by the station? Yes, but different measures apply here. The levels in pints are dominated by the Kozel in the brand new interior of the Sázava Kozlovna. We are talking, of course, about the popular Velkopopovický Kozel beer, which has been at home here for two decades.

In total, the Kozlovna can accommodate 130 guests, with another 45 in the garden. It is a very busy place especially for cyclists and other tourists in the high season. Kozlovna is not in the very centre of the town, but it is not far to the most famous tourist destinations and the centre is not far on foot. "Just as people find their way to the Sázava Monastery or the glass museum, they also go for the quality of the gastronomy."

Beer directly from the brewery - The pride of Kozlovna is the Velkopopovický Kozel 11 beer. The tank beer is the freshest, as it comes directly from the brewery to our pub and is stored in beer tanks at an ideal temperature of around 7 °C, it does not come into contact with air and thus does not change its characteristic taste. It is of the same quality and condition as when it was produced and leaves the brewery. In Kozlovna we tap beer in several styles, as recommended by the brewers of Plzeňský Prazdroj. On tap we have not only tank Velkopopovický Kozl 11, but also unfiltered Velkopopovický Kozl Černý, Kozl unfiltered 12, non-alcoholic Birell , Pilsner Urquell and every month a different beer special from the Pilsner brewers' workshop within the framework of the Brewers' Choice programme. Our staff has been trained in the quality of draft beer.
